morning -- battling a house fire in
Vinton.

This Morning Fire broke out around 2:30 in the
200 block of North Blair Street.

A firefighter on the scene says
the family awoke to fire in their
bedroom coming from behind their
dresser.

There was heavy fire damage on
the first floor, and extended to the
second.

All four people escaped without
injuries.

The cause of the fire has not
been determined.

The family is working with the
Red Cross for assistance.

Franklin County.

Sheriff's investigators say
Kendall Rutrough was unloading building
materials at a construction site near
Crafts Church, when he was injured by a
tow motor.

morning kept firefighters busy.

This Morning Fire broke out around 2:30 in the
200 block of North Blare Street.

A firefighter on the scene says
the family awoke to fire in their
bedroom coming from behind their
dresser.

There was heavy fire damage on
the first floor, and extended to the
second.

All four individuals excaped
without injuries.

The cause of the fire has not

been determined.

The family is working with the
Red Cross for assistance.

nabbed a man on child pornography

charges.

was arrested at his Christiansburg home
this week and charged with making and
possessing child pornography.

Police also took 48 burned copies
of downloaded items, computer equipment
and and four pornographic magazines.

in connection with the death of his
17-year-old daughter.

August Alan Scott Kozlowski was driving
a motorcycle in August when it crashed.

His daughter, Krystin, was killed
in the accident.

He was charged with reckless
driving earlier this month.

Police say the two were traveling

them both from the motorcycle.

Kozlowski is due back in court on

A man who's accused of killing a
Roanoke shop owner was back in court.

Last time we saw Gary Evan
Pritchard, the second - he was
unresponsive in court.

Yesterday, his lawyers were

trying to get news cameras barred from
the courtroom, but at the last minute

Instead they confirmed
Pritchard's trial will be June 26th
through the 30th.

step to purchase Lewis-Gale Clinic's
outpatient surgery center.

In October HCA employed most of the
clinic's physicians and staff as part
of the process.

Vinton kept firefighters busy.

This Morning Fire broke out around 2:30 in the
200 block of North Blare Street.

A firefighter on the scene says
the family awoke to fire in their
bedroom coming from behind their
dresser.

There was heavy fire damage on
the first floor, and extended to the
second.

All four individuals excaped
without injuries.

The cause of the fire has not
been determined.

The family is working with the
Red Cross for assistance.

night with Republican Bob McDonnell
emerging as the winner.

Last night, Several hundred people
turned out for the Republican mass
meeting at EC Glass High School.

The candidates were Robert Garber and
Mike Harrington.

In the end, Harrington got the
nomination. He told us Bryant
supporters won't be disappointed by his
candidacy.

It was a much smaller crowd at
the Democrat mass meeting, mainly
because Shannon Valentine was the only
one seeking the nomination.

She says if elected she will work
with Democrats and Republicans.

The election is on January 10th so the
candidates have just eighteen days to

incoming and outgoing - can be
vulnerable, especially during the
holidays when criminal activity is

risk of lost or stolen checks, reduces
fraud and gives you faster access to
your money on payment day.

example, during our last bout of winter
weather I wanted to check out road
conditions and entered 511virginia.com-
instead of dot org- it took me to this
site:

Take- Web Picture There are a lot of words that talk
about road conditions- but no
information - just a lot of ads for
travel guides, ring tones and low cost
loans. While it's not illegal, the
site is made to look like it has the
information you're looking for for a
reason- they want you to linger and
check out the ads. Be careful what you
type.

Virginia Lottery this week that lottery
scams are on the rise AGAIN. This is a
