along interstates across Virginia.
Crews will open the lanes from 6
a-m tomorrow to 6 a-m Tuesday-- and
again from 6 a-m on New Year's Eve to 6

Mall tried to stop a shoplifter last
night, and was taken to the hospital as
a result.

store employee tried to take the keys
out of a shoplifter's car as the
suspect was driving away.
The employee was then shoved from
the car.
The worker was taken to the
hospital with non-life threatening
injuries.

suspect in custody.
They arrested a man last night
near the Boxley Hills section of
Williamson Road, and believe he's the
same man involved with the JC-Penny
incident.
However, that has not been confirmed
at this point in the investigation.

from development.

federal regulation that protected these
roadless areas be restored.

Warner's petition is the first in
the nation to be filed.

Jim Reid has been named the Head
Coach for the Keydets.
He comes to V-M-I from Bucknell
where he was an assistant Coach last
season.

Commonwealth.
He was the Head coach at Richmond
for 9 seasons.
He led the Spiders from 1995 to
2003, winning Two Atlantic Ten
Championships.
Reid has also been a head coach

Reid has agreed to a 5 year
contract, and becomes the 29th Head
Football Coach at V-M-I.
He replaces Cal McCombs and takes
over a team that went 3 and 8 last
season.
There will be a press conference

Donte Minter is leaving the
program for personal reasons, and is
not expected to return.
This leaves the Cavaliers with
just 8 scholarship players,
Without walk-ons, the Wahoos
couldn't scrimmage.
Minter is a junior and hadn't
played yet this season.
