about the Christmas Eve deaths of a
Craig County couple...

They say a preliminary report
shows that 60-year-old Thomas "Sonny"
Howard died of a self-inflicted gunshot
wound.


At this point, it has not been
determined how his wife, 60-year-old
Thelma Greenway Howard, died.

The couple was found dead in a
trailer outside their home Saturday.

mysterious death of a 26 year old
Pulaski woman.

Police searched the former home
of Mindy Damron Dickerson for the
second time last week.

found dead in her bed with blood in her
hair and scratches to her face, neck
and mouth.

As of November, the medical
examiner still did NOT have a cause of
death.

Last week's search warrant was

Betty Hull was found dead in her
home on Mount Olivet Road on December
11th.

According to a search warrant,
her body had a few injuries, but police

the first time in 5 years bonds are at
a level that indicates the economy is
headed for a recession



Stock market players really have little
else to react to. so they took the
market lower in response to the news



The Dow lost 105 points, the Nasdaq
slipping 22...

few months after it appeared to be back
in business.

VO-NAT The company first made yarn and


fabric in Danville in 1883.

By the 1970's it was one of the
largest employers in Virginia, with
more than 10-thousand workers.

But as textile manufacturing
began to suffer from foreign
competition, Dan River closed plants,
and cut jobs.

By March of last year it was in
Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

It came out of bankruptcy
protection last February, but put its
apparel division on the market. By then
it was employing 12- to- 16- hundred
people in Danville.

dead Christmas eve.

Now there's new information on
the investigation.

Authorities say a preliminary

report shows that 60-year-old Thomas
"Sonny" Howard died of a self-inflicted
gunshot wound.

At this point, it has not been
determined how his wife, 60-year-old
Thelma Greenway Howard, died.

The couple was found dead inside
a trailer near their home Saturday.

that a healthy 26 year old Pulaski
woman was found dead in her home.

But there is still no cause of
death for Mindy Damron Dickerson.

for the second time in a year last
week.

The warrant though is sealed by
a court order to protect the
investigation.

Dickerson was found in late
January on her bed with scratches to

her face, neck, mouth, nose and knees
and blood in her hair.

According to search warrants
police believe several pieces of
evidence were also staged around her
body.

Betty Hull was found dead in her

11th.

According to a search warrant her
body had a few injuries, but police are

investigation of the Christmas Eve
deaths of a Craig County couple...

Authorities say a preliminary
report shows that 60-year-old Thomas
"Sonny" Howard died of a self-inflicted
gunshot wound.

At this point, it has not been
determined how his wife, 60-year-old
Thelma Greenway Howard, died.

The couple was found dead inside
a trailer outside of their home

Transportation Authority reached a

contract deal last last night.

The 33- thousand member union walked
out last week, forcing New Yorkers to
carpool, or in many cases, walk to work
for three days.

The strike cost the city about a
billion dollars in lost revenue.

Under the new deal, workers will
receive pay raises and pay more for
their healthcare plans.

Current Roanoke County supervisor
and former Craig County administrator
Richard Flora is returning to his old
job.

Flora currently works for the
Roanoke County school system, but will
retire from that position in March.

He will stay on the Roanoke
County board of Supervisors. The two
entities don't have any partnerships or
agreements so Flora says it won't be a
conflict of interest.

The 65-year-old says Craig
County's biggest challenge will be
getting the budget and spending in
line.

mysterious death of a 26 year old
Pulaski woman.

Police searched the former home
of Mindy Damron Dickerson for the
second time last week.

found dead in her bed with blood in her
hair and scratches to her face, neck
and mouth.

As of November, the medical

examiner still did NOT have a cause of
death.

Last week's search warrant was
sealed by a court order, to protect the

Betty Hull was found dead in her
home on Mount Olivet Road on December
11th.

According to a search warrant her
body had a few injuries, but police are
not sure what caused her death.

She was found by her son Dustin
Hull.

Now here's a look at today's top local

New information has been released about
a Craig County couple found dead on
Christmas Eve.

Authorities say a preliminary
report shows that 60-year-old Thomas
"Sonny" Howard died of a self-inflicted
gunshot wound.

At this point, it has not been
determined how his wife, 60-year-old
Thelma Greenway Howard, died.

the new owners of Dan River will move
all of the company's U-S operations
overseas.

Congressman Virgil Goode says if
that's true, it will be a sad day for
Danville and all of Southside.

If the jobs are sent overseas, Goode

assistance, in addition to unemployment
benefits.
