in Jacksonville -- the sight of the
upcoming Gator Bowl.

have now identified the body that was
found by some children in an alley.

Police say it is *18-year-old
Calvin Mack of Roanoke.*

Mack's body was found near the
24-hundred block of Staunton Avenue in
northwest Roanoke yesterday evening.

Detectives did a second sweep of

the area this afternoon, looking for
any clues that may have been missed as
it got dark yesterday.

Along with more clues, the police
department is also hoping for more
witnesses.

last night in Craig County.

21 year old Joshua Lee Jones of
New Castle was driving on Route-42
around midnight -- when he hit a deer
and lost control of his car.

He was pronounced dead at the
scene.

Three others in the car were
taken to the hospital.

GRAPHIC=Iraq, US Troops Casualty Another Virginia soldier has died

in Iraq.

Just six weeks into his
deployment, Army Private *George Lutz
the Second* of Virginia Beach was

killed in Iraq by sniper fire.

The Defense Department* says he
was killed Thursday while patrolling in
the area near Fallujah.

Lutz just turned 25 this month.

His parents say he had requested
a long

list of holiday gifts -- to give to
Iraqi children who greeted U-S
soldiers.

He leaves behind a wife and two
children.

Oklahoma.

A grass fire broke out southeast
of Pink, Oklahoma around noon today.

Fire crews have been battling the
blaze by land and by air.

This week, about 30-thousand
acres have burned.

By late Friday, crews from North

As a result of the fires, one
person has died, and a state of
emergency has been declared for all 77
Oklahoma counties.

valuable lesson as they closed out 2005

- never end the year with games against
teams from the state of Maryland.

the Keydets were in College Park,
Maryland taking on the 16th ranked
Terps.

Maryland's starting backcourt of
D.J. Strawberry and Chris McCray was a
handful as it combined for 31 points
six assists and six steals. Strawberry
had 16 and McCray 15.

In all, five Maryland players
ended up in double figures.

VMI was paced by Matt Murrer who
had 17 points and a team high 8
rebounds. Reggie Williams and Travis
