Firefighters found flames and heavy
smoke coming out of a bedroom at 2703
Garden City Boulevard around 8:40 this
morning.
They were able to knock the fire
down quickly, but not before it caused
30 thousand dollars in damage.
Two people were home at the time,
but they were able to escape unharmed.
Preliminary evidence suggests an
electrical problem caused the fire.

The situation presents a
challenge for firefighters who worked
through the night to try to contain
three major fires.
One of them- -25 miles long- -burned

helicopters today to join the fight.
Two tiny towns in Texas have been
essentially destroyed by fire.

small plane crashed today into river.
They were still conscious when

though a Yonkers fire battalion chief
says they were uffering from

they pair are "under evaluation."

down the airline as of Thursday night.

The pigs drink beer and have regular
exercise sessions in an indoor swimming
pool.
Farmer Craig Walsh says the grain in
beer improves the pigs' fat reserves.
The pork chops produced from these
pigs cost around 14- dollars a piece.
