Virginia coal mine has trapped 13
miners.
The explosion occurred about eight
this morning at the Seago Mine about 34
miles southeast of Clarksburg.
Steve Milligan with the Upshur
County's Office of Emergency Management
says 19 miners were underground when
the explosion occurred, and six made it
out of the mine without injury.
Milligan says the 13 miners are
trapped more than a mile underground.
The miners' conditions are not known
since efforts to reach them have not
been successful.
Emergency crews are en route to the
mine.

have fired head coach Mike Tice.
The St. Louis Rams have fired
their head coach Mike Martz after he
missed most of the season because of a
heart ailment.
The Green Bay has fired coach
Mike Sherman after 6 season with the
Packers.
And a person close to the Houston
Texans says the team will announce
today the firing of head coach Dom
Capers.
