BEGINNING A TWO MILE TREK TO WHERE
THE MINERS ARE BELIEVED TO BE.

again barricaded in good air and
waiting for rescue teams to get to them
THE CAUSE OF THE EXPLOSION IS NOT YET
CLEAR, ALTHOUGH LIGHTNING MAY BE
ONE POSSIBILITY. IN A RECENT REVIEW

In Oklahoma City, a fire official
says he considers the entire city a
target.
The fast- moving fires have
blackened tens of thousands of acres,
and all but wiped out a handful of
small towns.
Recovery crews are still searching
for victims.
Carelessness is to blame for most of
the wildfires-- either cigarettes
tossed out, or New Year's fireworks -
which authorites had warned residents
not to light.
