court date, apparently thanks to an
argument over a woman.
Just days after he was booted
from the Virginia Tech football team,
Marcus Vick was charged with
brandishing a firearm.

at this McDonald's restaurant in
Suffolk last night.
According to police, the
mother of a 17-year old told officers
Vick pointed a weapon at her son and
two others.

teens, police got three misdemeanor
warrants and Vick turned himself in at
the magistrates office.
Vick was processed, his mugshot
taken and he was released on a
ten-thousand dollar bond.

of brandishing a firearm.

mysterious death of a Virginia Tech
freshman.

VO-NAT 18 year old Brian McCloskey was
found severely injured on a jogging
trail in early November- and died a
week later.

November vehicle was definitely the cause of
McCloskey's injuries.
Police also said they have

for results to come back from the state

Ricky Gray and his 28 year old nephew
Ray Dandridge in Philadelphia over the
weekend.
They're accused of the New Year's
Day killing of musician 49- year old
Bryan Harvey, his wife and daughters.
Kathryn Harvey was the half sister
of Actor Steven Culp who played Rex Van
DeKamp on the series "Desperate
Housewives."
A memorial was held outside the
store she owned in Richmond.

Kenneth Frank Creamer is being

Anna Creamer was killed yesterday
when an arrow hit her in the back.
Police say Anna Creamer was
injured last year by a crossbow she

intersection of Gus Nicks Boulevard and
Old Vinton Mill Road in northeast
Roanoke was filled with broken glass,
wrecked cars and witnesses saying two
racing cars were to blame.

department confirmed that suspicion by
charging 18-year-old Joshua Wayne King
of Roanoke and 31-year-old Roger Wayne
Huffman of Moneta with misdemeanor
racing and reckless endangerment.

Birthday with a dislocated hip, no
car, and no job.

figure out what prompted a melee over
the weekend at a local Wal-Mart.

Police say they got several calls
around eight Saturday night that about
20-to-50 kids were fighting in the
Valley View Store parking lot- and
shots were fired.
Officers say when they got there,
the teens took off in different
directions.
One of them was taken into a
custody -- a 16-year-old boy who police
say had a gun.
It appears the fight stemmed from
a heated argument INSIDE the store.

to the hospital after a police dog bit
him on the arm.
Police say the boy was hiding
behind boxes in the back of the Target
store, and did NOT respond to orders to
come out.

that Virginia Tech quarterback coach
Kevin Rogers will be leaving Blacksburg
to coach in the NFL with the Minnesota
Vikings barring any last minute snags.

since 2002 and he has coached the past
two first team all-ACC quarterbacks in
Bryan Randall and Marcus Vick.
Rogers also coached Donovan
McNabb while the two were at Syracuse.
He has been a full-time college
coach for 27 seasons, but the Vikings'
post will mark his first in the NFL.
Besides his stop at Tech - Rogers
has ties to the state from his playing
days.
The Brooklyn native played at
William & Mary, where he was a three
year letterman at linebacker.

pointing a gun at a 17 year old boy and
his two brothers at a McDonald's.

Pittman.

Charlottesville and enter the N-F-L

Parham has started for the Wahoos for
three years and was a bit overshadowed
by his classmate Ahmad Brooks.
