career hits leader, received 10
write-in votes in what would have been
his final year of eligibility. Of
course had he not been banned from
baseball - he would have been in the
hall long ago.
In one other Hall of Fame note -
the Salem Roanoke baseball hall of fame
will welcome four new members to its
hall next month. Salemites Sam Webb
and Murray are joined by former Hokie
Trey McCoy and former Ferrum Panther
Eric Owens.

The game will be a homecoming of

played in three Rose Bowls while he was
in college at the University of
Washington.
He hopes the Skins play better
offensively than they did against Tampa

carmakers were turning heads with hip

And while they take their jobs

AT THE 2006 DETROIT AUTO SHOW,
AUTOMAKERS WERE DOING THINGS TO CARS
AND
TRUCKS YOU MIGHT NOT THINK WERE
POSSIBLE.
Quick sot
"You better put on your seatbelt."
A SEATBELT ISN'T REQUIRED BY LAW FOR
THIS WILD RIDE. IT'S CALLED THE
NISSAN URGE AND THE REAL ACTION HAPPENS
ONCE IT'S PARKED.
Sot - John Cupit/Designer
"The engine is off then you use the
brake, clutch and steering...to race
Gotham racing and here we go."
THE CAR BECOMES A VIRTUAL X-BOX 360.
YOU SIMPLY FLIP DOWN THE REAR VIEW
MIRROR AND START PLAYING. NISSAN WON'T
SAY IF AND WHEN IT MAY HIT THE
ROAD.
Nats of Camaro
PAST FAVORITES WITH NEW DESIGNS EQUALED
HOT TREND. THE CHEVY
CAMARRO...THE CHRYSLER IMPERIAL...AND
DODGE CHALLENGER WERE JUST A FEW.
Standup - Jennifer Donelan
"Let's say you want to be a hit at the
football game. Check this out.
It's the UTV by American Spectator
Cars...the ultimate tailgating
vehicle. The trunk slides out, you open
the right side and there's a
cooler and you open the left and it's a
grill."
FOR FINER TASTES...THE LEXUS LS 460 WAS
TURNING HEADS. WITH THE PUSH OF
A BUTTON THE CAR PARALLEL PARKS ITSELF
Sot - Bill Ussery/Lexus
"You press the brake at intervals, and
it actually knows when to turn
and pull in perfectly."
A PERFECT IDEA COMING SOON TO A
SHOWROOM NEAR YOU. JENNIFER DONELAN CBS
