bottling plant in Western Virginia.
Nestle Waters North America
announced yesterday it would no longer
consider Botetourt or Alleghany
counties for spring sites or the plant.

1997 Dave Braine the former Athletic
Director at Virginia Tech and current
A.D. at Georgia Tech is retiring at the
age of 62. Braine helped make Hokie
Athletics what it is today by getting
the football team into the Big East and
other sports into the A-10. Braine
spent 10 seasons in Blacksburg. He is
retiring due to Crohn's disease, hoping
less stress will help him deal with the
disease.

weaving through traffic, they thought
it was a drunk driver.

Yesterday Shelbyville Tenessee Police
gave chase, the driver refusing to
stop, narrowly avoiding several head-on
accidents.
The truck finally stopped
outside a house... where police
realized the driver was not a drunk
afterall, he was a seven-year old.
The Second-grader, who
could barely touch the pedals, said he
wanted to get his drivers license.
Police say that's nine
years too early.. and he now faces some
tough charges.
