marriage is one step closer to making
its way on Virginia's ballot.

Yesterday, the House Privileges
and Elections Committee overwhelmingly
approved a constitutional amendment,
making it clear that marriage is a
union between man and a woman.

The proposal passed
overwhelmingly in the General Assembly
last year.

Before the proposal can go on the
ballot, it must be approved in its
identical form in a succeeding session
after a House of Delegates election.

The state has already banned gay
marriage.

Eminem and his ex- wife Kim recently

The document confirms claims the
Detroit rap artist made during a radio

the mother of his child in December.

The couple's first marriage ended
in divorce in 2001.

Kim's been the focus of many of
Eminem's songs-- but they weren't
ballads.

One song tells the story of the
rapper killing her and dumping her

Rockbridge county is considering
changing its sign ordinance to allow
for larger signs at interstate
interchanges.

Supporters say the change is needed
so drivers can see businesses easier.

But opponents feel bigger signs will
ruin the area's natural beauty.

The board of supervisors must first
decide this issue, they could vote on
it at their January 23rd meeting.
