Salem, Roanoke County and Roanoke City.

And as of late this afternoon,
about 800 customers in Roanoke County
and the City didn't have power.

fourth amendment rights were violated.

According to the Botetourt County
Commonwealth's Attorney, Jack Cassell
Ka-SELL faces 34-counts of animal
cruelty after complaints came in about
malnourished horses.

has been around horses. He's a
self-described animal "nut."



In December- he was charged with
cruelty when a veternarian said his
horses were malnourished.

examine the horses- not take them. But
Horton argues he was within his rights.

nine years. She claimed she bit into

The pair tried to get money out of
Wendy's after planting the human finger
in the chili.

(END SOT) It's the first glimpse of Jill Carroll


since she was grabbed from a Baghdad
street nearly two weeks ago.

For twenty seconds, the 28-year old
journalist startes into the camera's
lens as she speaks... but not a sound
can be heard on the tape -- her captors
have chosen to keep her silent.

But her eyes speak volumes.


The kidnappers say they will kill
Carroll by Friday if the US doesn't
free ALL Iraqi women held in American
military custody.

It's not the first time hostage-takers
have made that demand. In October of
2004, 2 Americans and a Brit were
beheaded when the demands weren't met.

This time around.. US forces confirm
they're holding 8 Iraqi women who pose
a threat to security.

Friends say Carroll speaks some Arabic
and has a knack for building rapport
with locals -- a skill they hope could
help get her out of this.

and she spends time with iraqi families
- she has real respect for their faith
and their way of life.

It was on this street, in one of
Baghdad's most dangerous neighborhoods,
that Carroll was abducted. She was
working freelance for the Christian
Science Monitor when gunmen kidnapped
her and killed her translator.

Thousands of miles away - in Carroll's
homestate of Michigan -- Jill's mother

remains hopeful.. And friends are doing
all they can to support her family.

Carroll's family has appealed to
kidnappers, begging for their

of Carroll -- zeroing in on Arabic
letters that spell out "Revenge
Brigade." It appears this is the first
time THIS group has taken credit for a
kidnapping.

16-year-old behind the wheel of a

pickup slammed into the back of her

car.

The National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration found over a

ten-year-period--nearly 31-thousand
people were killed in crashes

involving drivers 15 to 17 years old.

a King who has brought some Radford
influence and a family first attitude.

Pulaski County Head Coach < The sophomore was a Radford Bobcat
until two years ago when he transferred
following his 8th grade year. Although
his younger sister is still in the
Radford School system, Jared is
thriving as a Cougar.

JARED KING/PULASKI COUNTY GUARD:

If the King name sounds familiar, it
should. Jared's mother Brenda won
state titles as head coach of the
Radford girls in 1988 and another in
1990. She still coaches AAU hoops in
the area and is never too far away from
a gym.

BRENDA KING/JARED'S MOM:

Basketball has been therapeutic for the
King family. Back in September Jared's
dad, Danny King passed away after a
bout with cancer. Honoring his memory
has become a top priority for his wife

and son.

BRENDA:

Coach Mark Hanks has been there through
it all, watching Jared perservere,
while trying to fill a void in some
small way, He's also carried out Danny
King's wish.

Jared is also a standout baseball
player for the Cougars as well.

Shatner passed the stone last fall,

20- thousand dollars for Habitat for
