Motorists are being warned to use

created some power outages throughout
the Roanoke Valley. As of
11:30 about 1900 Appalachian Power
customers are without power because of
downed tree limbs.
Officials say other customers
have experienced brief outages because
of breakers tripping.
Appalachian Power does have extra
crews patrolling the area.

has made a name for itself by staging
super-hero-costumed break-ins at some
London landmarks. Their point is to
protest what they see as unfair access
rights to their estranged children.

that group were thinking about taking
their protests a lot further.

December 24 A Cleveland judge has sentenced a
fan who ran onto the field during the
Christmas Eve game between the Browns
and Steelers to spend Super Bowl
Weekend in jail.
24- year- old Nathan Mallett will
begin his three- day sentence February
third.
He won't be allowed to watch the
Super Bowl on T-V, or even listen to it
on the radio.
Mallett was convicted of
misdemeanor counts of disorderly

from the former Captain Kirk.
The money will go to Habitat for
Humanity.
Shatner passed the stone last fall,

items.
Shatner won an Emmy for his role
on TV's "Boston Legal."
He got the idea to sell the stone
after the show raised 20- thousnd
dollars for Habitat for Humanity.
