GRAPHIC=Murder Invest. Detectives believe a Lynchburg


nurse found dead in Birmingham, Alabama
may have been lured there over the
Internet.

The body of 36- year- old Trina
Michelle Robertson was discovered in an
abandoned mining area.

Detectives traveled to
Lynchburg last week to collect evidence
from Robertson's home computer

Robertson's body was discovered
December fourth.

Her mother said Robertson had
gone to Birmingham in August, and not
been heard from since.

dead-- now a sailor from Boones Mill is
being held in connection with his
murder.

Tuesday Investigators found the body of
23-year-old Corporal Justin Huff in a
wooded area just south of the Virginia-
North Carolina border.

Huff had been missing for two
weeks--authorities aren't yet saying
HOW he died.

Investigators say 22- year- old
Petty Officer Cooper Jackson of Boones
Mill is a suspect.

Charges are pending.

Both men attended the Navy and
Marine Corps Intelligence Training
Center in Virginia Beach.

They gathered at the Abbingdon
Apartments in Old Southwest... the same
place where Donald Lee Seis sice was
found dead Tuesday morning.

About 30 people held candles
and shared stories about Seis.

They also created a makeshift
memorial outside the apartment where he
died.

So far, police have not
announced any suspects or arrests in
the case.

percent were the teen drivers
themselves.

58- percent were their
passengers, passengers in other cars,
or pedestrians.

In an effort to eliminate, what
they believe is a distraction, some
lawmakers want to ban teens from using
cell phones while driving.

he doesn't think teens should be
singled out.

That's because he believes adults
are just as careless when it comes to

being issued by Virginia Tech police.

It's actually a courtesy ticket
that offers suggestions to people who
leave valuables in plain view or
unattended.

Tech police say this is a
preventative move that will hopefully
give thieves less opportunities to
strike.

Campus theft has been a constant
battle.

Officers began writing the
courtesy tickets this past Tuesday, the
start of Tech's spring semester.

himself as a "tried and true"
alternative.

missed serving on council since his
defeat in 2000.

Yesterday, he told supporters he
would vote to save Victory Stadium at
the earliest opportunity.

new stores.

Dick's Sporting Goods is coming
to the New River Valley Mall.

The mall is also being renovated

and is getting a new 11 screen movie
theatre and a Red Robin Gourmet
Burgers.

Construction is underway and the

the home of Tim and Gail Anderson.

Andersons lost everything, but the
clothes on their backs.

Since then, a community has
pulled together donating clothes, and
money.

The family just settled into a
new house just a few miles from where
there other one once stood.

Fire officials have returned to

times, but due the rainy weather and
conditions of the house, they may never
know what caused the fire.

The Anderson's did have

year-old used a B-B gun to shoot at
several people at a bus stop.

No one was injured Wednesday.

But yesterday police charged
the boy with three counts of
brandishing an air-operated weapon and
two counts of assault and battery.

The teen is being held in the New
River Valley Detention Center.

few problems for homeowners and
drivers.

across downed trees and power lines in
Salem, Roanoke County and Roanoke City.

At one point about 2-thousand
customers in the Roanoke Valley didn't
have power.

There were also a few close calls
where trees crashed down near homes.

to keep internet pornography out of

sight for minors.

Pittsylvannia County Delegate
Robert Hurt's bill would make it a
Class- Four felony to make Internet
porn available to Virginians under the
age of 18.

That's punishable by two to ten
years in prison.

Roanoke Delegate William Fralin's
legislation would require school
resource officers teach minors how to
avoid contact with sexual predators
online.

A third delegate out of Richmond
wants to require libraries receiving
state funds to install filters that
block internet access to child
pornography.

That bill would allow certain
exceptions for research purposes.
