This was pretty much the only

this past year.

With so much of the stadium now off

PREFERENCE WOULD NOT TO PLAY IN A
FACILITY LIKE THAT.

RUN03 (END SOT)

OQ=LIKE THAT So the city first looked at playing

high school football at the middle
schools next year.

But it was determined none of them
would have adequate parking or
facilities.

The solution say school
administrators is to play all the home
games at high schools in Roanoke
County.

They'll meet with county leaders on
Friday to negotiate a deal.

THAT WOULD BE DIFFICULT, THAT IS THE
IDEAL SITUATION.

RUN13 (END SOT)

OQ=IDEAL SITUATION If the games are moved to Roanoke

County, they may have to be played on
Saturday.

There's also a possiblity the city
will have to share revenue from
concession and ticket sales with the
county.

Transportation costs will go up since
students will have to be bused out of
the city.

With so many hassles, it may lead
some to ask why not just play at
Victory Stadium another year?

While al- Qaida's number two leader
was NOT among the 18 people killed, the
group may still have suffered a major
loss.

Pakistani security officials say the
bodies of at least four top al-Qaida
operatives are still missing.

Topping that list, Egyptian bomb
maker Abu Khabab al- Masri, who had a
five- million dollar bounty on his
head.

The deaths of the four men wouldn't
cause al- Qaida to collapse, but it
could hamper its attacks against U-S
troops.
