died early yesterday morning -- when a
fire broke out in her home on Eden
Drive.

Witnesses say they heard what
sounded like a small explosion.

Some then rushed to try to save
her.

They say Zimmerman was a nice
woman who will be missed.

fight between two long-time friends
ended in murder.

of 52-year old Ricky Waller.

Investigators say an altercation
led to a shooting inside this home on
Lula Trail near the Brookneal
community.

Authorities say Jennings shot

in Iraq may come from a source right
here at home.

Halliburton employees say they
told the defense contractor that
contaminated water was being used by
U-S troops and civilians at a U-S
military base in Iraq.

But the employees say they

couldn't get Halliburton to inform camp
residents of the problem.

The contaminated water came to
light in internal company documents
The Associated Press obtained from
Senate Democrats who are holding a
public inquiry tomorrow.

A Halliburton spokeswoman says
the company did NOT find any
contaminated water nor medical evidence
of illnesses.

part of a restructuring program.

spot in the Super Bowl and a place in
the history books this afternoon as
they whipped Denver to win the AFC
Championship - the first time a sixth
seeded team has rolled through the
playoffs in such fashion since the
wildcard was instituted.

dominated the Panthers tonight to win
the NFC title.

the night was in Tallahassee as the
Seminoles played host to the 24th

ranked North Carolina Tarheels.

Wes Miller, the sharpshooting

today looking to take down the top team
in the Colonial Conference ODU.

session at Daytona - wrapped up today
as the Busch Series closed a crowded
weekend.

62 Busch teams wedged their way
into the garage area hoping to grab
some track time.

Along with the regular cast of
Busch characters was former Indy car
champion Paul Tracy. He's driving a
Chevrolet and he plans to make five
starts this season.

He calls himself Fat Man Walking,
and he's making his way from Southern
California to New York City.

Steve Vaught weighed 410 pounds
last spring when he decided to walk

92 pounds later, Vaught is in
Indiana with about 800 miles to go.

He walks between 7 and 18 miles a
day.

He hopes to arrive in New York a
healthier and happier person.
