Northwest Roanoke gas station has
police searching for answers.

Police arrived just before eight
o-clock last night to the B-P station

along Orange Avenue at 11th Street.

Witnesses told police they saw men
shooting at each other and the men took
off running down the street.

Police believe the men ran into the
surrounding neighborhoods but were
unable to find them.

In fact, police tell us they're not
sure how many people were involved and
do not have descriptions at this time.

Nobody was hurt.

they have found the remains of a
missing woman.

55-year-old Nancy Motes Wingfield
disappeared from her Collinsville home
more than three weeks ago.

Yesterday, a medical examiner
confirmed remains found in Wingfield's

backyard are human.

Investigators also believe
they've found several more remains from
the same person at three other sites in
some nearby woods.

Authorities have not named any
suspects, but hope to further question
Wingfield's brother, who is in the
hospital after drinking some type of
toxic liquid.

If the remains are confirmed to
be Wingfield's, this will be the second
murder in her family.

Her son was shot and killed

several years ago in Henry County.

he propositioned a 10-year-old girl
using the computer.

was arrested after police say he met
the Vinton girl in a web chatroom and
pretented to be a 10-year-old girl
himself.

Investigators have linked him to
cases in Pennsylvania, Tennessee and

the hottest dining spot in Blacksburg.

the dining halls.

Now, the university's dining
program is up for the prestigious Ivy
Award which honors the best food
service professionals in the industry.

The Princeton Review has ranked
Virginia Tech ninth in its"best campus
food" category for 2006.

The university will find out in
May whether it has won the Ivy Award

can't pass drug tests.

Christiansburg Delegate Dave
Nutter says he first learned of the
problem through a survey of local
companies.

He's introduced legislation that
directs the Employment Commission to
develop a plan for a voluntary drug
testing program for potential
employees.

Delegate Nutter says the problem
is so bad, one company in Western
Virginia is considering dropping it's
requirement that employees test
negative for marijuana- use.

If the bill passes, it will
allow the Employment Commission to find
out how much the program would cost.

lure her into his truck.

Monday 8-year-old Kayla Carter was
playing down the street form her home
in Southeast Roanoke Monday afternoon.

Both Kayla and a woman who
witnessed the incident, said the man
got out of his truck and motioned for
Kayla to get in.

The man told police he was just
concerned for Kayla because she
appeared to be upset. After
investigating the case, police believe
the man- They've chalked it up as a
miscommunication.

missing teenagers.

18-year-old Tomika Madison and
15-year-old Kelly Jones, both of
Roanoke County, were last seen at
Valley View Mall Sunday afternoon.



Police believe the pair left the
mall willingly, but both have health
problems and need medication.

death of Brian McCloskey continues, the
town of Blacksburg is taking action to
make sure it doesn't happen again.

unconscious on a Blacksburg walking
trail last November.

These are the two S-U-V's police
have in custody.

A 2002 Chevy Tahoe is from
Berryville, Virginia and shows damage
on the front left side.

A 2006 Ford Excursion was taken
from Magic City Ford in Roanoke
Virginia.

The dealership says it had been
loaned out to a service customer.
