Lynchburg police arrested Ayers January
15th for the armed robbery of the Zip
convenience store just a half mile from

his home.

But late Monday, another man ...
Randall Scott Mason ... who'd been
arrested for bank robbery, told police
HE was the man who robbed the Zip
store.

Police say Ayers and Mason DO
resemble each other ... enough that the
store clerk picked Ayers out of a photo
lineup.

a car- truck- school bus accident
yesterday in Florida- has now lost her
father as well.

The woman's father died of a heart
attack last night after learning he'd
lost all of his grandchildren in the
crash.

National Transportation Safety Board is
on the scene in Lake Butler Florida-

All of the children who were

killed were in the car.

Investigators want to know why a semi-
truck did not stop- It hit the car from
behind pushing it into the bus that was
carrying students. The car was crushed
between the truck and a stopped school
bus.

Matthews, who's known as "Muggs," was
last seen on Friday, January 20th.

Deputies say he's missing under
suspicious circumstances.

They say it's out of character
for him because he's a homebody who
doesn't have transportation.
