teacher accused of having a sexual
relationship with one of her students
won't make her first court appearance
quite yet.

has hired her own attorney. That means
a scheduled appearance this morning is
no longer required.
Patton was arrested Friday and
charged with contributing to a
delinquency of a minor, and two other
sexually related charges.

rushing in parts of Campbell County
this morning.

Traffic heading into Lynchburg
was slowed when a tractor-trailer
overturned in the northbound lanes of
Route-29.
Crews spent several hours
removing the wreck, and the road has
since reopened.
And it is still slow going on
route-501 near Gladys, where a single
car accident blocked the entire road
around 8:30.
A car spun off the road and hit a
utility pole, blocking both the north
and southbound lanes.
Authorities hope to have that
road open within the hour.

proposals to LOWER taxes.
One would establish a three-day
back-to-school tax holiday in August.
There's another bill that would
eliminate what is frequently called the
"death tax" on estates worth two (m)
million dollars or more.
Lawmakers have defeated similar
versions of both bills in recent
years.
But leaders in the House of
Delegates expect their chamber
to approve both this year.

Duluth, Minnesota.
The 380- mile race course takes the

And racers say it takes a lot of
tough training for the canine
contestants.
