to over 700% APR
Take: "They speed up the refund process They speed up the refund process by as by as little as one week" little as one week, compared to what
consumers can expect by filing online
and having their refunds deposited
directly into their banking accounts
Take: "Fees eat away at your money!" The loan fees, combined with tax

other fees can end up eating away a

Refund-anticipation loans are marketed
by tax preparers as a quick and easy

exchange for this fast cash consumers
pay over $1 billion a year in fees on
those loans. In some cases, consumers
lose money as a result of the loans.
If there is a mistake in preparing a

will not receive a refund, you still

must pay back the loan in full.
