in custody after police discover an
alleged plot to blow up two high
schools.

teenagers, ages sixteen, fifteen, and
thirteen, planned to blow up Albemarle
and Western Albemarle High Schools.
A confidential caller notified
police on Monday of a suspicious
conversation in an online chat room
about the possible violence.
Police seized three computers and
2 shot guns from the teens, but won't
comment on whether they found any
explosive devices.
There is increased police
presence at the schools to make sure
everything is secure.

up...landing in the backyard of a home
but, their reaction wasn't so calm.

arms over a gun bill now before the
House of Delegates.

who legally carry a gun, to keep it
locked up in their vehicle in public.
Supporters believe it's necessary
to protect second amendment rights.
They say if permit holders are

College police chiefs, however,
say the bill makes them nervous....

survivors from the Egyptian passenger
ferry that sank in the Red Sea
overnight.

the death of her two-month old child.

idea that owed more than two-thousand
dollars in unpaid parking tickets.

When John Chilton heard about the
city's new enforcement, he decided to
check to see how much money he owed.
He thought maybe a few hundred
dollars, but learned it was really more
than two-thousand.
Chilton said he accumulated a lot
of tickets last year outside his office
on Franklin Road.
He said he had intentions of
paying them but later forgot about
them.

night festivities that took place prior
to tip-off.
Two of those upperclassman got
busy in a hurry as Aaron Webb and
Dwayne Priest double team their way to
a steal and then a breakaway score on
the other end.
Botetourt hung right with the
Colonels most of the way as Noah State
uses a nice pick and the six-seven
junior hits the leaning jumper for the
Cavs.
Fleming would hallar back on the
home end of the floor as James Otey
sneaks off a pick of his own and hits
all net with the jumper.
But check out the hops on Jason
Rutschman, as uses a reverse spin and
goes up strong for the Botetourt bucket.

"Kila" Miller and Keith Smith along
with their mentor Sherley Stuart
welcomed John St. Clair back to campus
to have his Fleming jersey number
retired.
St. Clair starred and Fleming
before moving onto UVa and now the NFL.
He also was honored with a
banquet tonight that was attended by
another Fleming alum now in the NFL -
Lee Suggs.
For St. Clair - the whole event
evening was a humbling experience.

Saint Clair spent his first four
seasons in the league with the Rams,
but suited up for Miami in 2004, only
to be released in a salary cap move
prior to the start of this season.
But the big fella thinks he's
found a home in the Windy City where he
played in 13 games this season and just
signed a new three year contract.

At halftime of tonight's
Jefferson Forest Game they honored Jake
Grove. The former Cavalier returned
home to hoist the number 71 high into
the air. Grove went from Forest to
Virginia Tech where he became a
unanimous All-America. Grove also took
home the Rimington Award as a Hokie for
the country's best Center in his Senior
Season. Grove is currently a member of
the Oakland Raiders where he is the
starting Center for the Silver and
Black. Grove was flanked by his wife,
mother, father and Sister for last
night's ceremony, they also made
February 3rd Jake Grove Day.

Cavalier Dennis Haley was in town
today. He was in downtown Roanoke
helping the Red Cross beef-up its its
blood supply.
Haley is now on the Baltimore
Ravens roster as a linebacker, but he's
always glad to lend a hand back in the
valley.

and then released after training camp.
He was re-signed and spent the

give $6-thousand dollar scholorships to
