Wednesday Karen Gallupe (GAL-up) was shot
in the face Wednesday morning, when two
men tried to rob the Exxon station at
the corner of Orange Avenue and Hollins
Road.

The shot injured her jaw, and may
have caused lasting nerve damage, but
her father says Gallupe is doing well
under the circumstances. And he says
the family is thankful she didn't

suffer more serious injuries.

Chris Jamison was indicted today for
first-degree murder.

The 14-year old Back Creek
resident is accused of stabbing his
grandmother to death last November.

Jean Jamison had raised the boy.
He told police she was trying to get
out the words "I love you," as he was
stabbing her.

The case is set for trial March
29th.

Tuesday Earlier in the week, a Roanoke

woman found the cat in her tree, and it
wouldn't come down.

She's the one who gave the cat
its name.

"Crazy" was eventually rescued
from the tree and turned over to Animal
Control.

For the past four days the cat's
been holed up there.

We've been told Crazy has been
showing some signs of aggression.

It's being evaluated by a
behavioral specialist. If its attitude
doesn't improve by Monday, it will not
be adoptable.

JF star Jake Grove at halftime of the
