VO-NAT Authorities say the wife of

Wayne Gretzky and a half-dozen N-H-L
players placed bets with a nationwide
sports gambling ring-- which was
financed by Phoenix Coyotes assistant
coach Rick Tocchet (TAHK'-iht).

They say most of the bets were on
basketball and football---nothing was

bet on hockey.

Gretzky, who coaches the
Coyotes, says he doesn't know anything
about his wife's involvement.
