Bobcats vs Spartans Top Seeded Radford took on Giles
in the first game of the evening the
Bobcats already assured of a Regional
Berth.

The Spartans trailed by 10 at
halftime, trying to make a run in the
3rd quarter. Nathan Tanner with the
pretty move in the lane to drop home 2.

Giles was led in scoring by Cody
Griffith. He would hit the baseline
jumper for 2 of his 19 points on the
evening. But not nearly enough.

Radford had the offense in high
gear, Ben Benson out in front of the
pack for the lay-up. That extended
the Bobcat lead.

*CG final Giles Rick Cormany's club can hit from the 55 outside as well. Jonathan Thompson Radford hits from behind the arc, he was 1 of 4 75 Bobcats in Double Figures. Radford
wins 75 to 55 over Giles.

Highlanders vs Buffalos The Highlanders had lost a 1-game
playoff to Radford for the District
title, looking to knock off the
Buffalos, both teams knowing a win and
they were in the regionals.

Glenvar got out to an early lead
thanks to their point guard Donzell

Williams, The Head fake and move into
the lane for 2. Highlanders led by 4
early.

Floyd County staying close, Aaron
Vest almost loses the ball, head fakes
and then finally makes the jumper. He
would go over the 1-thousand point mark
for his career.

More Buffalo Offense Logan
Meneghini with the acrobatic move in
the lane, Floyd trailed by 8 at the
point.

But Glenvar had a little too much
offense. Shawn Crawford would score *CG final Floyd Co. inside as a result of the nice passing 51 against the zone and Glenvar moves onto Glenvar the finals with a 58 to 51 win.

season down the stretch.

And tonight they would try to
keep it going as Kayle Spurgeon takes
the pass down low and scores, but this
one tight all the way through.

On the Cave turnover, the Blue
Demons will get the ball down the floor
in a hurry and Kaila Hendricks will
score for Christiansburg.

The Knights come back with senior
Lauren Gerl - who will step up just
inside the three point line and drain
the jumper.

TNT The day began clear and dry, but
rain delayed and interrupted the first
qualifying race extending it to over
two and a half hours.

It was rather calm until the
caution came out late for this big
piece of debris off of Chad Chaffin's
car. The drivers slowed down to avoid
it - but Sterling Marlin didn't slow
down and slammed right into the back of
Dale Jarrett.

That set up a green, white
checkered three lap dash to the finish
and Emporia's Elliott Sadler would win
the first race with Carl Edwards
second.
