New River Community College wants
to put a satellite facility at the
Regal Cinemas site in the New River
Valley Mall.
Regal Cinemas is opening a new
14-screen theater, with stadium seating
next December at the mall.
College officials say they've
outgrown their facility on Roanoke
Street in Christiansburg and the
theater would be a great location.
The proposal is not a done deal,
but is moving forward.
The college hopes to start having
classes at the site by the fall of
2007.
