TNT The day began clear and dry, but
rain delayed and interrupted the first
qualifying race-- extending it to over
two and a half hours.
It was rather calm until the
caution came out late for this big
piece of debris off Chad Chaffin's
car.
The drivers slowed down to avoid
it.
But Sterling Marlin didn't
slow down, and slammed right into the
back of Dale Jarrett.
That set up a green, white-
checkered three lap dash to the finish.
Emporia's Elliott Sadler would win
the first race, with Carl Edwards
second.

Whale experts say grey whales are
currently on their 5- thousand mile
trek to Mexico, and that these two
whales simply took a little side trip
into the bay.
Animal experts say it's rare for the
whales to enter the bay.
After spending a couple of hours
there, the whales eventually made the
turn, and headed back out to sea.
