rescued a burglary suspect over the
weekend.

VO-NAT Eric Berta was stuck in a chimney

at a construction site for more than 13
hours on Saturday.

Firefighters had to cut away
bricks and pull him out by his feet.

They say Berta was extremely cold
but not seriously injured.

Several firefighters told News 7
this was the most bizarre rescue
they've ever performed.

Va. Wesleyan vs. R.Macon This year it was Ashland's :00 Randolph-Macon taking on regular season
and defending tournament champ Virginia
Wesleyan out of Virginia Beach.

Macon was on fire in the first
half as Justin Wansley takes the nice
left handed cross-court pass and rips

rope on the three pointer. He finished
with 24.

Then on the break - Justin Short
will throw a little head and shoulder
fack into the Wesleyan defender and hit
the pull-up jumper and Macon is
smelling the upset.

But Wesleyan got defensive as
Brandon Adair - the ODAC player of the
year gets the steal and soars in for
the two handed jam. Adair finished
with a game high 31 points.

Wesleyan shot a blistering 53
percent for the game and Marlins wins
it in overtime 81-to-78. *CG final Virginia Wesleyan
81 It's their second straight ODAC Randolph-Macon tournament title and with it they earn 78 an automatic invite to the the D-3 Overtime tournament.

Amherst Co. vs. Northside Northside got into the regionals :00 with a 9 and 16 record because they
upset Lord Botetourt.

Tonight they set out to do the
same to Amherst. Senior Justin White
bangs the boards and gets a second
effort hoop as Northside grabs the
lead.

But Amherst can get it done
inside as well - Bronson Robinson finds
Derrick McCoy who finishes strong with
a power drive and kiss off the glass.

Northside took a seven point lead
at the halftime break thanks in part to
Chance Smith's outside shooting as he
hits nothing but net. The Vikes kept
the lead through three. *CG final Amherst Co.

Maroons vs Bears The Bears coming in as the
underdog at 12 and 11 but they put up a
heckuva a fight last evening.

Wythe's Tennis Simon would drive
the baseline and hit the pretty reverse
lay-up, even took a shot to the mouth.
Maroons up 1.

Bland County would tie the score
on an inbounds play to Tyler Estep.
Big fella using the spin move in the
paint for 2.

But Wythe came right back to take
a 2-point lead into the fourth quarter
on Trey Smith's baseline jumper. It
was 43 to 41 Maroons.

Bland hung tough though and was
within 1 on Matt Morris's 3-pointer.

58 to 57. *CG final Bland Co.
57 The Bears had 2 chances to tie George Wythe with 3-pointers in the last minute but 60 couldn't connect and George Wythe
survives with the 60 to 57 win.

However, Brooks status with the
