They answered a call before 3:A-M
of "shots fired" near Sixth and
Allison.

It was after nine o'clock when they
found the body of William Wellington
King in the alley between Allison and
Walnut.

A city police news release says
the department "...is conducting an
internal investigation... to determine
why responding officers failed to
thoroughly check the alleyway."

Police searched the suspect's
home on Courtland Avenue and seized a
9-millimeter Ruger, a sawed-off shotgun
and two rifles-- plus several articles
of clothing.

Detectives believe the suspect
used his wife's car in the murder.

The warrant says an informant
identified Andre Wayne Hunt as the
shooter.

Some people are still trapped inside
the building.

Investigators cite a heavy snow

errors in its design as possible
reasons for the collapse.

Russian news reports say about 50

Sniffer dogs have been locating
survivors, some of whom used cell
