their dog seriously INJURES another
person.

poll p. 2

The percentage of people who
favor felony charges goes from 77 to 83
in cases where a dog attack results in
a person's DEATH.

Standup in BAM

In either event- -whether the
attack results in death OR serious
injury, the percentage of "SHOULD"
responses went up with age. Even young
people approve ...by a margin of 60 or
70%. But 90-percent of those over age
55 approve of serious charges being
filed against someone whose dog attacks
a person.

vet vaccinating a dog

There's also a measure up for
consideration that would require
veterinarians to hand over vaccination
records to local governments. The bill
would enable city and county treasurers
to bill dog owners who haven't gotten
pet licenses.

poll p. 3

Exactly half of those polled in

central and southwest Virginia said
they oppose that plan. 44% said it
would be OK.
