Keith you can't help but think

There are some: both of these

of the fraud counts. And Dr. Cheek
hasn't been charged, either.

Christopher Sterling Jamison was
in court today, as attorneys considered
who should evaluate his mental state-
-both now and at the time of the crime
last November.

County detectives say Jamison
admitted he took the biggest knife he
could find and stabbed the woman who
raised him... first in the back, then
15 times in the chest.

He could not exactly explain why,
except to say he'd "kind of hated her"
his whole life.

Chris Jamison's lawyer says the
boy had been under the care and
treatment of a psychologist for
depression for four months before the
murder.

She wants to know whether he's
mentally ill.

Jamison himself had just two

GRAPHIC=ACC WOMEN'S TOURNEY The Virginia Tech women open their

portion of the tournament tonight at 7,
the same way they did last
year--against Wake Forest.

Beth Dunkenberger is hoping for
another big performance from senior
Kerri Gardin, the only North Carolina
native on the Tech roster.

After suffering thru a midseason
slump, Gardin bounced back to make the
All-ACC third team, and led the league
in rebounding with nearly 10 a game.
