PRESIDING OVER THE DEATH PENALTY TRIAL

MOVE -- RECESSED THE TRIAL AFTER SHE
LEARNED THE PROSECUTION, AGAINST HER
ORDERS, COACHED A WITNESS. A T-S-A
ATTORNEY PROVIDED WITNESSES FROM THE
FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION WITH
TRANSCRIPTS OF THE TRIAL. THE JUDGE'S
RULE WAS THAT NO WITNESS SHOULD HEAR

JUDGE LEONIE BRINKEMA SAYS -- THIS IS A

TO TAKE THE DEATH PENALTY AWAY AS A
POSSIBLE OUTCOME OF THE TRIAL. IF SHE
REFUSES -- MOUSSAOUI'S LAWYERS WANT HER

FOUR WITNESSES FROM THE F-A-A.

PROSECUTORS SAY... STRIKING THE F-A-A
