welcome to the Tuesday ticker.

We fire thing up tonight with
news from the NFL where two high
profile quarterbacks ended up with new
teams today.

For starters Daunte Culpepper has
been traded from the Vikings to the
Miami Dolphins in exchange for a second
round draft pick in 2007.

Culppper, was a multiple pro
bowler with the Vikings, but his
relationship with the organization had
deteriorated in recent weeks. The
trade is of course contingent on
Culpepper passing a physical. He

basically destroyed his knee last
season tearing all three ligaments in
it

Culpepper has 135 touchdowns in
his 7 years in the league

However, the New Orleans were
more than glad to sign him to a 6 year
$60 million dollar contract that
includes an eight million dollar
signing bonus. Brees has spent his
entire five-year career with the San
Diego Chargers, throwing for more than
3,000 yards in three of the past four
seasons. He also led the Chargers to a
playoff appearance in 2004.

newsman Mike Wallace says he'll stop
being a regular contributor to the CBS
news magazine.

But don't count him totally out..
the 87 year old is careful to say he is
NOT fully retiring.

Wallace has said for years he was
cutting back on stories at 60 minutes,
but his competitive instincts made it
tough for him to follow through.
