14-year-old Martin Anderson died from a
beating by guards.

Anderson died in January after he
collapsed during exercises at his first
day of camp.

Initially, the medical examiner
concluded that Anderson had died from
complications of a blood condition.

the finding and the second autopsy was

ordered.

In the last two years, 20 pedestrians
have been hit by cars in the town of
Blacksburg.

On Virginia Tech's campus, the number
is ten.

In response, the university put in a
roundabout to slow traffic down near a
busy intersection.

Several crosswalks were also

There's even a message on the roadway
alerting drivers to look for
pedestrians.
