yesterday along the Bedford Botetourt
County line, but authorities say the
forest fire that has been smoldering
there since last Saturday did not get
out of hand.

The governor heard gunfire while
taking a helicopter ride over Baghdad
yesterday, but, so far, hasn't felt
unsafe.

Many in his own political party
would like the U-S to set a date to
pull out of Iraq.

High winds helped fan the flames of
a tractor trailer fire on Route 460
near Lynchburg.

The truck had pulled over after a
tire blew out ... the driver told
police that's when his cab started to
catch fire.

The entire truck was destroyed and

taking a helicopter ride over Baghdad
yesterday, but, so far, hasn't felt
unsafe.

Many in his own political party
would like the U-S to set a date to
pull out of Iraq.

However, Kaine believes the Bush

to grow stronger before pulling out.

After a brief stop in

people dedicated to not only memorizing

Roanoke County has issued a ban on all
outdoor fires. With the wind and low
humidity, the county fire chief says it
only takes a second for a spark to
start a fire.

Violating the burning ban is punishable
by up to a year in jail and a
