will have plenty to talk about.
As you know, many parents and
teachers are angry over the recent
firing of Cave Spring's athletic
director Randy Meck.
They're also upset that the new
athletic fields at the school are still
not ready, in fact they're months
behind schedule.
There's also been plenty of criticism
towards Superintendent Linda Weber and
her management style.
Over the weekend, hundreds signed a
petition at Cave Spring calling for
Weber's immediate resignation.

say they will address concerns tonight
about the possible chemical exposure at
an elementary school.

On March 7th, an exterminator
sprayed Dudley Elementary with a
chemical known as malathion
MAL-uh-THY-awn to get rid of ants.
The spraying occurred during
school hours -- which officials say
should NOT have happened.
About a week later, FOUR parents
called the school complaining their
children were suffering from flu-like
symptoms.
School officials don't believe
the symptoms are related to the
spraying, but they removed the children
from the affected areas AND conducted
air quality tests just to be safe.

has been charged with starting a brush
fire in Bedford County over the
weekend.

Saturday Morning Firefighters responded to a fire
late friday night that burned nearly an
acre along Sandy Ford Road near
Montvale.
Early Saturday morning, police
got a tip about a vehicle involved.
They later spotted it and
arrested 18-year-old Daniel Lee
Saunders, a former firefighter.
Saunders has been charged with
arson, and threatening to burn an
occupied dwelling.
He is being held at the Blue
Ridge Regional Jail.

160-Advance Auto Parts employees were
on their way to Orlando for a three-day
business meeting.
Just as their Miami Air
International flight was leaving the
Roanoke Regional Airport and pulling
away from the jet bridge- the plane's
wing clipped the bridge.
The 737 was emptied.
The plane itself was grounded,
but according to an airport spokeswoman
- the bridge only sustained a few
scratches.

according to one Radford University
student.

about a room she had for rent.
It was listed on-line at Radford
University and Virginia Tech's
off-campus housing search.
The man sent a check for too much
money and told Donnally to wire the
difference back to him.
She Googled the man's name and
got David Martins.
Fraud alerts popped up
immediately.
Donnally says Martins' contact
with her became harassing.
He even called her from a blocked
number.
She says Martins provided lots of
details and asked her to pick him up at
the airport.

Hokies take on Connecticut.

2004 Tech does have one advantage over
some other teams playing against U-Conn
in the tournament. The Hokies played
against the Huskies when they were in
the Big East. Beth Dunkenberger may
have to defer to her players for a game
plan. She didn't arrive in Blacksburg
until Tech moved into the A-C-C but she
has seen Connecticut in the Tournament
before.

will tip things off with LSU in
Atlanta.
Now, we will stay on that court
for the late game Thursday as West
Virginia takes on Texas at
