recovering those costs?

[graphic 2005]

Take last year.

People caused 73 fires in our area.

It cost the state about 28-thousand
dollars and out of that, the state
recovered only twenty percent.

[graphic 2004]

But in 2004 when they were 90 fires
at a cost of more than 28-thousand
dollars, the state was able to recover
58 percent.

[graphic 2002}

Then there's 2002 which saw a lot of
fires because of the drought.

That year, people caused 203 fires.

That cost the state nearly
117-thousand dollars, thirty percent of
which was recovered.

So why do the numbers vary from year

not so ready to rock.

ENG#=1 VO-NAT

VO-NAT The company is recalling more

than half a million rocking chairs
after at least 45 reports of injuries.

Wal-Mart officials say over-
curvature in the Mainstay chair's
runners can cause the wood to fracture
and the chair to tip over.

The recalls are for the Mainstays
Love Seat Rocker and the Mainstays
Porch Rockers.

They were sold in stores
nationwide, as well as on Wal-Mart's
web site.
