(END SOT) << Zacarias Moussaouis testimony was
chilling as he revealed details of
9/11. never heard before.
On the stand the confessed Al-qaida
conspirator said he and convicted
shoe-bomber Richard Reid were supposed
to hijack a fifth plane on September
11th 2001 and fly it into the White
House.
Reid was subdued by passengers when he
attempted to detonate a bomb in
his shoe on board a Paris to Miami
flight in December 2001.
Mousaoui told the court he knew the
world trade center was just one of
several targets but lied to
investigators when he was arrested in
Minnesota August 2001. He told the lead
prosecutor quotewe dont do one
operation, we do
multiple strikes. He went on to say he
even bought a radio while in jail so
could hear about the attacks.
DREW LEVINSON/ALEXANDRIA, VA:
MOUSSAOUIS STATEMENTS IN COURT ARE IN
STARK CONTRAST TO WHAT HE TOLD
INVESTIGATORS WHEN HE WAS ARRESTED. AT
THAT TIME HE SAID HE WAS NOT
PART OF THE 9-11 ATTACKS AND THAT HIS
MISSION WOULD COME LATER.
Despite this he pleaded guilty to being
the 20th high-jacker. Asked in court
why he did that he said quote "because
everyone used to refer to me as the
20th highjacker and it was a bit of
fun.
The government maintains if Moussaoui
has been more cooperative
following his arrest the attacks might
have been averted.
Moussaouis attorneys pleaded with him
not to take the standthat he
would only hurt himself in this
sentencing trial, and he would end up
being the prosecutions best witnesses.
From the what he said in court,
it appears they were right.

Yesterday It was normal Bristol racing with
a bunch of beating and banging going
on. Matt Kenseth was involved in both
sides of it. Getting booted out of the
way by Kurt Busch who went on to win
for the 5th time at the Bull-Ring
track.
Kenseth also did some booting of
his own, by knocking Jeff Gordon from
3rd to 21st with a spin on the last
lap.
Gordon came out of the acting
truelly like a Rainbow Warrior with the
shove. Regardless. Kenseth is atop
the points standings and Busch is in
Victory Lane for the first time with
Pensake Racing.
