actually police.

and attempted indecent liberties with a

In a telephone interview, Roanoke
Times Editor Mike Riley said the email
is one small part of an ongoing
conversation between a reporter and one

Riley said the newspaper had

important to say, this survey was done

81 percent said yes.

When asked about their
relationships with their principals,
that too was a positive response.

But when it came to confidence in
the leadership of the central office,

elementary school.

Last Week Tomorrow, students at Dudley
Elementary will be allowed back into
two classrooms that were closed during
a recent pesticide scare.

Some students became sick after

an exterminator applied the pesticide,
malathion, near the rooms to get rid of
ants.

But, the department of
agriculture ruled the school was safe.

School officials say the rooms
have been thoroughly cleaned.

They say they also notified
parents about the reopening.

another man in connection with a
drive-by shooting.

Melvin Devon Abbitt of Lynchburg and
charged him with malicious wounding and
possession of a firearm by a convicted
felon.

Police say Abbitt and two
teenagers were involved in a shooting
outside the Greenfield Market on

Florida Avenue on Monday.
