Today, students sparked large
demonstrations in Los Angeles, San
Diego and Las Vegas.

They're protesting the House's
bill which would tighten border
security and make it felony to be in
the U-S. illegally.

The Senate's bill would also beef
up security along the borders, but

include a guest worker program.

NCAA Tournament In J.J. news closer to home- the
Redick recognition dinner scheduled for
April 19th at the Salem Civic Center
has been moved to the Hotel Roanoke to
better accomodate the high demand for
tickets. Originally, the event was to
be held at the Salem Civic Center
Community Room, but the 400 available
tickets were gone almost as soon as
they went on sale. The event will now
be held in the Grand Ballroom at the
Hotel Roanoke allowing for at least an
additional 300 tickets to be sold. They
will be available starting next
Wednesday, April 5th, at Member One
Credit Union branches.
