platinum in the hair, breast milk and
other samples taken from women with
silicone gel-filled implants.
The findings represent the latest
concern about the implants that were
banned for most women in 19-92 amid a
controversy over their safety.
Two silicone implant makers are working
to prove their safety and return the
implants to general use.

Vitamins and ibuprofen are getting high
marks in a new study of Alzheimer s
disease.
Researchers say for patients at high
risk of developing the disease, taking
a combination of Vitamins E and C plus
ibuprofen significantly reduces the
chances they ll develop Alzheimer s.

And the diet drug, Xenical is another
step closer to being sold over the
counter.
The FDA has told British drug maker
Glaxo-Smith-Kline the pill is
approvable.
The drug would be sold under the name
Alli (al-eye) and contain half the dose
of prescription Xenical capsules.
The drug maker plans to meet with F-D-A
in the coming weeks to secure final
approval.

died in November.
Now, her family and friends have
formed the "Brittney Jensen Memorial

The foundation helps other local
families with the costs of surgeries,
medication and treatment.

She takes in older, unwanted and
neglected horses -but a long winter was
making it tough for her to continue
operating "Slocum's Appaloosa Ranch."

volunteer or make donations.
Slocum says the story has been
nothing but positive for her -- and her
more than 100-horses.
She says even though she's been
offering trail rides and lessons for
nearly 30-years, some folks didn't even

platinum in the hair, breast milk and
other samples taken from women with
silicone gel-filled implants.
The findings represent the latest
concern about the implants that were
banned for most women in 19-92 amid a
controversy over their safety.
Two silicone implant makers are working
to prove their safety and return the
implants to general use.

Vitamins and ibuprofen are getting high
marks in a new study of Alzheimer s
disease.
Researchers say for patients at high
risk of developing the disease, taking
a combination of Vitamins E and C plus
ibuprofen significantly reduces the
chances they ll develop Alzheimer s.

And the diet drug, Xenical is another
step closer to being sold over the
counter.
The FDA has told British drug maker
Glaxo-Smith-Kline the pill is
approvable.
The drug would be sold under the name
Alli (al-eye) and contain half the dose
of prescription Xenical capsules.
The drug maker plans to meet with F-D-A
in the coming weeks to secure final
approval.

that Maverick Thomas and Malvester
Dixon hired him to kill Thomas' wife,
30-year-old Lisa Nicole Thomas.
Dixon and Thomas were both
convicted on related murder charges.
In exchange for his testimony,
Manns received a one-year sentence for
conspiracy to commit capital murder.
Now, some of Manns' cellmates and
his attorney are saying Manns told them
he made up the story.
Because of the new information,
Dixon and Thomas may seek new trials.

building on McClung Street in Salem
around 7:30 last night.
Police are not releasing the
identity of the body and it's unclear
