OQ=Meg Oliver, CBS News, New York. < (END SOT) look at a small study of women with

silicone breast implants.

(vo)

The study showed high levels of
platinum in the hair, breast milk and
other samples taken from women with
silicone gel-filled implants.

The findings represent the latest
concern about the implants that were
banned for most women in 19-92 amid a
controversy over their safety.

Two silicone implant makers are working
to prove their safety and return the
implants to general use.

Vitamins and ibuprofen are getting high
marks in a new study of Alzheimer s

risk of developing the disease, taking
a combination of Vitamins E and C plus
ibuprofen significantly reduces the
chances they ll develop Alzheimer s.

And the diet drug, Xenical is another

step closer to being sold over the
counter.

The FDA has told British drug maker
Glaxo-Smith-Kline the pill is
approvable.

The drug would be sold under the name
Alli (al-eye) and contain half the dose
of prescription Xenical capsules.

The drug maker plans to meet with F-D-A
in the coming weeks to secure final
approval.
