fatal accident last night in Alleghany
County.

Police say Patricia Narry of West
Virginia was traveling westbound on
Interstate-64 around 8:30, when her car
ran off the road and into the median.
The car flipped several times
before coming to rest in the eastbound
lane.
Narry was pronounced dead at the
scene.
She was the only person in the
car.

GRAPHIC=Fire Investigation Crews are back out on the scene
today of yesterday's house fire in
Roanoke County.

It happened around seven p-m in
the 3000 block of Parham drive.
Crews arrived to find heavy
flames coming from the garage and right
side of the house.
A father and son were home at the
time, but both escaped unharmed.
The fire also slightly damaged a
neighboring house.

Toyota is considering four southern
states to build a new plant.
*One those possible sites* is
outside of Roanoke.
The company is also considering
sites in Tennessee, North Carolina and

expecting a last minute rush as the
deadline for filing your taxes
approaches.

extra days this year.

three-month extension.
But, that extension only applies
to filing taxes.

According to a Survey U-S-A Poll,
more than 80 percent of the people we
surveyed have already filed their
taxes.
68-percent say they're expecting
a refund.
And 50-percent say they plan to
use a tax service to file their taxes.
About half of those surveyed said
they filed their taxes electronically
last year, while the other half filed
by paper.

Commission has agreed to remove a ban
that affected dozens of businesses at
Smith Mountain Lake.

April 5 The ban prohibited pile-driving
and other in-water construction between
mid-April and mid-June, to protect fish
during spawning season.
But, dozens of dock-builders and
others filed a request to remove the
section of the ban on pile-driving,
saying there was no scientific evidence
it hurts the fish.
FERC approved the request, with
the condition that if a nest is
detected, the pile driving work should
be relocated or delayed.

March 27, 2006 McMaster was diagnosed with colon
cancer on her 23 birthday and after
recovering she started the Colon Club.
During the Colon Club's latest
venture, McMaster played hockey with
all 14 U-H-L teams.
Now, McMaster is auctioning her
jerseys, all signed by U-H-L players,
on Ebay.
The auction ends tomorrow
afternoon, and the jerseys currently
range from around one hundred and fifty
to three hundred dollars.

new arrest in the case of a missing
Alabama teen.

information, but they say the suspect
is a a 19-year-old with the initials
"G.V.C."
In Aruba, when an arrest is
announced, officials usually release
only a suspect's initials, and not a
full name.
It's been nearly a year since
Natalee Holloway disappeared
during her high school graduation trip.
A lawyer for a Dutch teen
questioned in the case says he hopes
the new arrest will bring some answers
-- and the sooner, the better.
