is going behind bars for embezzling
nearly 200-thousand dollars from the
restaurant.

Donna Marie Phillips was sentenced
today to two years and three months in
prison. She was also ordered to pay

site outside Roanoke" as a place to
build the company's eighth assembly
plant in North America.

Economic developers in our region are
all excited about Saturday's report in
the New York Times.

But no one seems to have any details.

truck-assembly plant in Texas where the
state paid 133-million dollars in
incentives to lure Toyota.

The state agreed to lay new rail lines
there, connecting the plant to two
major carriers.

Shell's attorney, Gil Davis,

The judge ruled police did not
act in bad faith.

to shut down a website that uses a
common mis- spelling of his name.

Falwell says the site violates
his trademark and confuses web- surfers

File Tape Today, city council approved a
request by local taxicab companies to
add a one-dollar fuel surcharge to its
rates -- to help offset rising gas
prices.

The council regulates the rates
of ALL taxi-cab companies in the city.

The new surcharge will go into

effect May First, with signs posted in
each cab.

The city says the fee may be
removed if the average price of
regular, unleaded gas falls below two
bucks per gallon over a six month
period.

the all clear to a Senate building that
was evacuated after something triggered
an alarm for nerve agents....

According to police, the alarm
indicated a suspicious substance near a
basement post office facility.

Initial field tests are negative

is no more.

In its six years of existence -

collected to help curb Roanoke's
dropout rate. Over than span of time
more than 400 world be dropouts
returned to school.

But tonight the game's founder -
City Councilman Sherman Lea said the
game has been cancelled for 2006 and
beyond.

after a nasty road swing that would see

Fenway Park as the Red Sox hosted the
Seattle Mariners in a game that would
go right down to the last pitch.
