They got some rain in Patrick
County today.

But, it may have not have been
enough.

VO-NAT Firefighters have been battling a

forest fire on Bull Mountain for three
days now.

A lightning strike Friday morning
sparked the fire, which has now burned
4,000 acres.

At least five structures were
destroyed including one home.

The Virginia National Guard has
been called out to help the more than
250 firefighters already on the scene.

site outside Roanoke" as a place to
build the company's eighth assembly
plant in North America.

Economic developers in our region are
all excited about Saturday's report in
the New York Times.

But no one seems to have any details.

Toyota is about to open a
truck-assembly plant in Texas where the
state paid 133-million dollars in
incentives to lure Toyota.

The state agreed to lay new rail lines
there, connecting the plant to two
major carriers.

got quite a surprise this afternoon.

Take a look of this video. It's a
massive water main break on Westside
Boulevard in front of Grace Brethren
Church.

It happened around three o'clock.
Within minutes, the water had rushed
down the hill, flooding a number of
nearby homes.

he was babysitting her Saturday night.

of giving a lethal dose of morphine to
his girlfriend and model 19 year-old
Marion Franklin.

Shell's attorney, Gil Davis,
claimed evidence had been tampered
with.

Davis says three computer hard
drives seized from Shell were altered
once they were in police custody.

The judge ruled police did not
act in bad faith.

Shell goes to trial in September.

Police say 45 year Herbert Neal Guill
walked into a Kwik Shop last night. He
gestured as if he had a firearm in his
pocket.

He allegedly demanded the clerk open
the register. When the clerk refused,

police say Guill grabbed the register
and fled the store.

chapter in the ongoing investigation in
Durham concerning the Duke lacrosse
team and an exotic dancer.

Not a single member of the team
was indicted the Grand Jury today.

However, several players still
could be charged.

Grand jury proceedings are
secret, so it's not known if
indictments in the Duke case may be
among 24 cases that were carried
forward or they simply could have been
returned sealed.

An attorney for one of the team's
captains met with prosecutors today and

evidence in the Duke case today.

Already the lacrosse season has
been cancelled, and head coach Mike
Pressler a Washington & Lee grad has

his crew chief at the end of last year

with a Night Race at Phoenix on
Saturday.

Marathon took place today.

517 entrants was the second largest in
Marathon history, and it represented 94
countries and all 50 states. 10
thousand men started the 26 point 2
mile long event off at Noon and by the
team the field had a chance to get
spread out - a Kenyan - Robet Cheruiyot
pulled away and produced the fastest
Boston Marathon ever - finishing in 2
hours, 7 minutes, 14 seconds.

The Kenyans made it a clean sweep
as Rita Jeptoo pulled away and became
the sixth Kenyan woman to win in the
past seven years. Her time was two
hours, 23 minutes and 38 seconds.
