Force Team began handing out
indictments today for 94 felony
charges.

The Task Force is serving
indictments on 29 individuals for
illegal narcotic related offenses.

They began operations at 8:30
this morning.

More than 30 law enforcement
officers are involved-- from the
Alleghany Sheriffs office, to the
Virginia State Police, and the
Covington and Clifton Forge Police
Departments.

The indictments come after a
nine- month Grand Jury investigation.

that's believed to have killed a six-
year- old girl in a Tennessee park last

today whether any of them will face

charges in connection with the alleged
rape of an exotic dancer more

than a month ago. The woman, a student
at a nearby University, says she

was attacked by three players at a team
party.

The District Attorney is expected to
present his findings to a grand

juryand that panel could hand up
indictments at any time. Defense

attorneys told cbs news they are
anticipating charges for 2 players, but

they dont know which two.so they have
prepared bond hearings for all

46 potential defendants.

The incident has brought Dukes
nationally renowned lacrosse program to

a standstillthe coach has resigned and
the season cancelled.

But many Durham residents want much
more than that. The alleged victim

is black and virtually the entire team
is white. Many believe arrests

should have been made weeks ago and
that preferential treatment is being

given to students from the elite
school.

The defense counters that DNA results
failed to find any link between

the alleged victim and the 46 white
members of the team who were tested.

Without definitive forensic
evidencelegal experts say it could come

down to the word of the accuser against
the word of the alleged

attackers.

jail is said to be right on schedule
and even UNDER budget.

County Administrator Jerry
Burgess says the 24-million dollar
project should be finished in July of

left of spring practice to work out the
kinks.

VO-NAT The Wahoos will have to replace

Kai Parham, who left early to enter the
N-F-L Draft.

All he did last season was lead
the team in tackles, forced fumbles,
tackles behind the line of Scrimmage,
and Sacks.

Also gone is All-American Ahmad
Brooks, who was dismissed from the team
by Al Groh before Spring Practice even
started.

The only returning starter at
linebacker that played in every game
last season is Clint Sintim.

He had 3 Sacks and over 50
Tackles in 2005, and can't wait to take
his game to another level.
