GRAPHIC=MEN'S FINAL FOUR March Madness put several teams-

including LSU- in the national
spotlight.

Yesterday, LSU star center Glen
"Big Baby" Davis announced that he's
coming back for his junior season with
the Tigers.

However, Tyrun Thomas said he's
signed with an agent, and plans on
entering the NBA draft.

GRAPHIC=None A man in Montreal wants a free

house -- and a woman in Phoenix wants a
recording contract.

Through the power of bartering, both
are now closer to making their dream a
reality.

And it all started with a red paper
clip.

Tammy Leitner explains.

(END SOT) -- ((NAT SOT)) (her music) LIKE SO

MANY STRUGGLING MUSICIANS ... JODY
GNANT DREAMS OF A RECORDING CONTRACT.
"In a normal world it's really tough to
get that kind of opportunity." BUT SHE
FOUND OPPORTUNITY JUST A WEBSITE
AWAY... "He has the kind of website
that you want to go back to even when
you're not a part of it." KYLE
MACDONALD STARTED HIS WEBSITE AND
JOURNEY A YEAR AGO --- WITH NOTHING

MORE THAN A RED PAPERCLIP. THE
26-YEAR-OLD FROM MONTREAL HATCHED THE
HAIR-BRAINED IDEA TO BARTER THAT PAPER
CLIP - OVER THE INTERNET - FOR BIGGER
AND BETTER THINGS ... UNTIL EVENTUALLY
HE GOT A HOUSE. IMPOSSIBLE, RIGHT?
MAYBE NOT. HIS FIRST TRADE ... A
FISH-SHAPED PEN ... NOT TOO IMPRESSIVE
... BUT WITHIN THREE TRADES HE HAD A
GENERATOR WHICH HE TRADED FOR A KEG ...
AND BY HIS SIXTH TRADE A SNOWMOBILE ...
A TRIP ... A TRUCK ... A CONTRACT.
THEN... "A years free rent in my
house." WHICH BRINGS US BACK TO JODY.
"I'm asking everybody I know, my mom,
my dad, what do we have. And they
didn't have anything. But remarkably I
did." YOU SEE JODY'S GETTING TO FULFILL

A DREAM OF RECORDING HER ALBUM AND THEN
PITCHING IT TO RECORD EXECS AT SONY AND
XM RADIO. "I felt like I won the
lottery yeah to run off and record
somewhere." AND TO THINK ONE RED
PAPERCLIP HELD THE POWER TO MAKE THIS
DREAM COME TRUE. "I think that's how
the world works. I would love to think
it's the small things in life that make
the biggest difference."
