Roanoke man was brutally murdered in
old Southwest.

First, here are the facts.

VO-NAT 44 year old Donald Seis was found


dead in his apartment on King George
Avenue in January.

An autopsy later revealed he died of
'blunt trauma."

Police have yet to make an arrest and
his mother wants to know why.

police found Donald Seis on the floor
of his apartment, with a large amount
of blood all over the bedroom and crime
scene.

Investigators also recovered a hammer
which could be the murder weapon.

Since there was no forced entry into
the apartment, Donald's mother believes
he knew his killer.

a search warrant at a nearby home.

According to the warrant, Seis had an
on-going dispute with two women who
were seen trying to break into his
apartment just days before the murder.

When police went to interview the
women, they found dried blood on a
door.

It sounded promising but three months
later, there are still no arrests.

say it's still very much an active
investigation.

deciding where to play high school
football next year.

Fall 2005 The School board chairwoman says the
chances of playing in Victory Stadium
are slim to none.

Kathy Stockburger says the city is
negotiating to play PH's and Fleming's
games in either Roanoke County,
Franklin County, or a combination of
both.

The city will most likely have to pay
rent and share revenues but Stockburger
says it will still be cheaper than
playing at Victory Stadium.

The school board hopes to finalize a
deal by early next month.

Wise Counties led the way down Bull
Mountain.

responded to a house on Thomas
Jefferson Road after a passing
bicyclist spotted flames pouring out

the front.

It took firefighters about 20
minutes to get the fire under control.
No word yet on the cause.

The family of three was not home

When firefighters went through what
was left of this Florida home, they
found M 80 shells and partial sticks of
dynamite, leading investigators to
believe someone in the house was making
fireworks.

The blast killed one person, three
more are missing.

The situation got more heated,
and one of the men is then stabbed in

the neck.

Both houses spent the afternoon
taking up bills either amended or
vetoed by Governor Tim Kaine.

Delegates and senators rejected
dozens of amendments, but couldn't come
up with enough votes to override any of
the governor's vetoes.

Governor Kaine now has 30- days
to act on any amendments the
legislature rejects.


After the Veto Session lawmakers
reconvened for the Special Session
designed to continue work towards
ending the budget impasse.

Dozens of businesses recently won

a fight to lift a ban on dock-building
during spawning season -- saying
there's no scientific evidence it harms
fish.

But, the ban remains in effect on
other in-water construction like
rip-rap -- or laying rocks along the
shoreline.

Bill Greene, who makes his living
doing rip-rap, says it's no more
harmful to fish than building docks.

day game. Alltell Stadium in
Jacksonville will again play host for
the contest which will kick off at 1
