The Mayor's attorneys said in
federal court this morning that a
statute of limitations would not allow
the court to hear charges that occured
before 2001.

The judge is expect to rule on that
motion during the trial.

This morning was the last expected
hearing before Monday's fraud trial.

Today was spent ironing out the
details of what evidence would be heard
during the trial, including some of the
Social Security Fraud charges against
Hutcherson.

The trial begins on Monday with

amblyopia is a condition where children

TRAVIS: With his playing career at
Duke now in the books, Redick has
plenty to look forward to, including a
chance to make the Olympic team and the

upcoming NBA draft in June. But first
things first, like final exams in
Durham this week. At the Hotel
Roanoke, Travis Wells, News 7 Sports.>>

Last January An ex- Marine and self- proclaimed
"Fat Man" decided to change his life
and lose some serious weight by walking
from Oceanside, California to New York.

Over the weekend, 39- year- old Steve
Vaught walked through Indiana, marking

just 800 more miles to go.

The walk began as a way for Vaught to
slim down from a weight of over 400
pounds.

But he says the journey has become
much more than that.
