GRAPHIC=Robbery Danville authorities are
searching for three robbery suspects.
They say a resident in the 700-
block of Holland Road came home last
night, and was met by a man with a
handgun.
The suspect pointed the gun at
the resident's head, and then two other
males came out of another room.
All three alleged robbers then
fled the house on foot.
Police describe the suspects as
black males-- six feet, about 180
pounds-- wearing jeans and white
T-shirts.

in Lexington have recovered the body of
a missing teenager.

Authorities had been searching
for 16- year- old Charles Volpe
(VOLE-pee) since Sunday evening, when
he was swept over a dam near Jordan's
Point and disappeared.
Swift water rescue and dive teams
searched the river, while others
scoured the banks by foot and
helicopters circled overhead.
Ultimately, a dog trained in
search, rescue and recovery alerted
crews near the dam, and divers were
able to recover the body from 5 to 10
feet of water.

Saturday Officers charged 349 people from
Thursday to Saturday during the annual
spring-time celebration.
That number is down from last
year, when 400 people were charged.
36 people were actually arrested.
That's 10 more people than last

to monitor some offenders once they're
released from prison.

caught two men trying to break into a
store in the New River Valley.

was the target of a "sting" operation,
after the Social Security
Administration destroyed certain
records.

day before the Lynchburg Mayor was due
to go on trial- -the defense obtained
documents that shed light on the early
stages of the investigation.
Agents didn't want Hutcherson to
know he was being investigated.
A man named Rob Childress in the
Inspector General's Office "said that
he... tried to get Ms Price's file,"
wrote an un-named investigator, "but
apparently it [had] been destroyed."
Hutcherson came in with all his
bank statements and canceled checks.
He told investigators that "all
funds were returned in February, 2005,"
one of the documents says.
An agent with the initials S-R-M
concluded: "Fraud is not an issue,"
that "all monies were accounted
for...."
