GRAPHIC=NFL The NFL draft takes place this

coming weekend.

But a report out of California is
making it hard for Reggie Bush to enjoy
the prospects of being picked number
one on Saturday.

The PAC 10 conference says it is
looking into a report that Bush's
family lived in a house in Spring
Valley, California owned by a man who
wanted to handle their son's
professional marketing .

No big deal-- except that all of
this allegedly took place while while
Bush was still playing for U-S-C.

NCAA rules prohibit
student-athletes or their families from
receiving extra benefits from agents or

their representatives.

And you would have to say that living
in a home purchased for $757- thousand-
500 bucks is somewhat of a benefit.

Bush says the house was leased
and nothing was illegal.

OQ=News 7 Sports. << Jon Copper has gone from being a
(END SOT) walk-on at U-V-A who was hoping to just

get some playing time on Special Teams.
To being the Starting Inside
Linebacker for the Virginia Cavaliers
at the end of Spring Practice.

(COPPER SOT:)

(GROH SOT:)

Copper has been elevated on depth
chart for a number of reason, but he's
solidified himself as a starter in
large part due to his dedication to
watching film.

(COPPER:)

One of the regulars in the film
room for the linebackers at U-V-A has
been there head coach.

(COPPER SOT:)

His study habits when it comes to

watching tape started back in High
School when he played for Jim Hickam at
Northside.

(HICKAM SOT:)

Copper is still a walk-on at
U-V-A, but that may change soon, Coach
Groh is in the process of deciding who
will get scholarships for the 2006
season. Grant Kittelson News 7 Sports.
