GRAPHIC=BAM Good afternoon everybody and

welcome to the midweek ticker.

It's only appropriate that we
begin tonight with a weather related
item.

Tonight's Virginia Tech vs.
Radford baseball game scheduled for 7
o'clock at English Field has been
canceled.

And because we are late in the
season it will NOT be made up at a
later date.

Also, on the Tech front this
afternoon - the athletic department has
released a statement

ENG#=1 VO-NAT
VO-NAT

*CG locator Blacksburg
Last Season saying in effect that it will NOT
release any of its scholarship
wrestlers from their binding letters of
intent to allow them transfer to
another school for the 2006 - 2007
school year.

When wrestling coach Tom Brands
resigned earlier this month, many
expected a mass exodus of wrestlers,
but since then Kevin Dresser has been
hired to replace him.

And Tech says it has decided not
to grant any releases until after next
season - if a wrestler still desires
one.

It seems Copperfield and two File Tape friends were headed to their bus in
Florida after a show when two bandits
jumped out of a car..

The women walking with Copperfield
both surrendered their cash- and other
belongings .... but not Copperfield.

Copperfield told police he turned

his pockets inside out to reveal
nothing.. even though he was carrying
his passport, wallet and cell phone.

Copperfield also made note of the
license plate and police were able to
pick up the four teenaged suspects and
recover the women's belongings.
